ERP systems not compatible with Windows 7

Quote from AMD w/s on Client-Side Virtualization

"Many companies will find XP Mode to be helpful - from smaller companies with custom developed inventory tracking applications to large enterprises that have implemented large ERP systems incompatible with Windows 7. "

Anyone know what these ERP systems are?

  1. I wouldn't mind betting that it is SAP!

Windows 7 isn't officially supported yet by SAP, however SAP Gui 710 is supposed to work.

This is for logging in to R/3 and/or Netweaver. ABAP stuff and some other components seem to be a little "spotty" in a 64 bit environment.

OSS Note 1031740 may give an insight into this. (from the SAPGUI standpoint at least)

There is the option of running in an XP-Mode virtual window though.
