Teredo tunneling

The impact of the IPv6 world

Teredo is a transition technology that gives full IPv6 connectivity for IPv6-capable hosts which are on the IPv4 Internet but which have no direct native connection to an IPv6 network. Compared to other similar protocols its distinguishing feature is that it is able to perform its function even from behind network address translation (NAT) devices such as home routers.

Zoneedit is now down for almost 24 hours. This is bad and there is no way to contact them

I feel your pain!

I am glad that I made changes to my profile when I did. I only noticed that the interface was down yesterday when I wanted to see if there was a way of configuring CNAME aliases. At that time the ZoneEdit website was at least accessible, it now seems to have got worse and you cannot even get onto the site.

I am not sure that this is a long-term thing, however, I seem to recall that there have been concerns regarding how ZE communicate with their customers.

I would look for an alternative service even if they do come back on-line.

I am not relying on the ZE service at the moment, thankfully, but if I were to put my domain back online I would NOT use ZoneEdit.
